Enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of Rotterdam.
Cross another thing off your Dutch bucket list with a visit to the iconic Euromast Rotterdam Tower. Admire the breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views from the highest point in Rotterdam. Designed by architect H.A. Maaskant, The Euromast was built in 1960 and immediately became Rotterdam’s highest building. The feat didn’t last long however, with buildings overtaking its claim left, right and center. The Euromast quickly fought back, and since 1970 has been the tallest building in Rotterdam once again. The Euromast is named after its location in the middle of the European market zone. The Dutch word ‘mast’ is shared by most European languages, further reflecting this idea of its location in the heartland.
Take a trip to the observation deck of The Euromast, and go wild with your camera to bring the stunning proof back home. Just don’t forget a jacket – at 185 meters high, a chill in the air is guaranteed. The brave are invited to step inside the Euroscope: a rotating glass panoramic lift that takes you to the top. Admire the view from Rotterdam’s highest point, at 185 meters above ground. In clear weather, you’ll be able to see as far as 30 kilometers. Night delivers another spectacle, where the stars seem to come alive. Whatever time of day you visit the Euromast, one thing’s for sure – you’re in for a visual treat.
Thrill seekers will revel in the opportunity to abseil or zip-wire down the Euromast. Drool over the superb city views, and take in gorgeous skyline views from the best seat in the house. After you’ve had your fill of panoramic views, the last must-do is surely the restaurant. Enjoy the aptly named High Tea (or High Wine) at the Euromast Brasserie, served with a side of scenery. The Euromast Rotterdam is no doubt a feast for all senses.
